Theatrical Trailers

Theatrical Trailers A trailer is a way of advertising a film that is set to for the cinema in the future. Trailers are made up of a series of sequences from the main film which typically follow a non-linear structure as the audience is not supposed to be able to make full sense of what is occurring. Trailers usually contain parts of the film which are the most exciting and contain the most action, therefore encouraging the audience to watch the full film. Humorous parts of the film are also heavily used for comedy film trailers. The maximum length of any trailer is 2 minutes 30 seconds and that is the limit set by the MPAA. The material that the producers have to work with is a lot greater now that the film is in it's final days of production. A vast range of aspects are usually presented in a theatrical trailer and present the film as more of a well rounded film as oppose to how the teaser trailer would.
