After uploading what we thought what would be our final version of our trailer to YouTube. We showed it to a collection of family and friends to get their initial reactions and thoughts. Many people enjoyed the trailer because of the fast paced music and quick edits which they thought conveyed the thriller mystery genre.
However they also said that the music changes weren't very smooth and the voices were hard to hear and understand, which in turn disrupted the narrative.
To fix this we recorded voiceovers, so that we could mute the video which got rid of the white noise, and so matched the voices with the movement on screen. This worked well as before the actors were too far away from the camera when speaking, so recording voiceovers on a phone close to their voice resulted in a clearer sound quality.
As well as that we faded the sound tracks in and out so that the transitions were smooth when changing rhythm and pace so it wasn't as noticeable as before.
By taking this feedback on board we then uploaded our second final version onto YouTube which wouldn't of been done if we didn't get audience feedback.
